Brooklyn {Five Months}

Month 5 brought us so much more fun! Hard to believe it has almost been half  a year with this little angel. Honestly, I am about 10 days late from her turning 5 months old, so we are just about to Month 6 already. Brooklyn got baptised, her goopy eye finally cleared up, and she has been in daycare for 1 full month now.

Length, Weight, Percentiles:
No checkup until 6 months. Next time!

Features:
Pretty much the same. Still not growing much hair. But her goopy eye finally cleared up so that has been nice. She has the most beautiful smile (I know, I am biased) but just lights up for everyone. It is not hard to get her to smile at all. She is also still fairly long/tall.

Sleep:
Getting better. She is now consistently back to sleeping in her crib. She has some nights where she will sleep through the night, and some nights she will wake up once. When she sleeps through the night she will sleep until 6 or 7 AM, and 8:30-9 AM if she wakes up to eat during the night. She usually goes to be between 7-8 PM. If we would let her fall asleep at 6 or 6:30 PM, I am sure she would continue sleeping into the night.

She naps 3-4 times a day, usually for 1-3 hours at a time. Night naps are hit and miss, depending on how much she wants to fight it. But, if we put her in the car, she is immediately out.

She still does a great job putting herself to sleep and rarely needs her binky anymore.

Diet:
Drinking 5 oz. of breastmilk or formula. She will usually have a bottle of formula before bed or anytime we are out, it is easier to transport and mix up on the go. Nursing is hit or miss now that I am at work full time. Some days, I rarely nurse just because I pump 5 times a day.  She will usually eat about every 3 hours. We also started purees this past month! She has done great so far, but still getting the hang of swallowing. She has tried pears and carrots so far.

Clothes and Diapering:
Wearing size 3 diapers and 3-6 or 6 month clothes. She is so long that 6 month pajamas and pants are short on her. I am getting ready to move into 9 month jammies.

Social:
Brooklyn is a chatterbox. She loves to hear herself and can constantly be heard "AHHHHHHHHH" or gurgling. She has quite the volume also. It is adorable but difficult in quiet or social places. I am loving her little social personality already.

Brooklyn loves to listen to us sing,  and watch other kids play. She is getting more interested in toys, and is constantly examining them. She especially likes ones that make noise or sing and light up.

Likes: talking, cooing, her playmat, being sung to, being upright, bathtime, kisses, airplane

Dislikes: laying flat, being overtired, being hungry
